Jocelyn - Receptionist and Veterinary Assistant
Jocelyn, a graduate of Harlem High School, has been with Animal Medical Clinic since 2001. Her time is divided between front desk reception and working as a Veterinary Assistant. She enjoys taking walks in any dog-friendly area with her two purebred Boxers and her Boxer/hound mix. Her daughter is going to school to be an Elasmobranchologist. Jocelyn is also pursuing her Masters degree in Child Psychology and Social Work.
Karena - Receptionist
Karena has been a receptionist at Animal Medical Clinic since August 2005. She enjoys 4-wheeling, roller-blading, fishing, karaoke and spending time with her family. Karena has two pets, "Goober the Magnificent" cat and "Rigby" a Decker rat terrier. Between work, school, and the pets, her life is pretty busy.
Ashley - Certified Veterinary Technician
Ashley started at Animal Medical Clinic as a member of the Care Staff in 1999 and became a receptionist in 2001. Graduating from Parkland College with an Associate in Applied Science, she received her certification as a Certified Veterinary Technician in 2004. She and her husband are proud owners of "Taggert", a goldendoodle and "Van", a shepherd/beagle mix.
Andrea - Certified Veterinary Technician
Andrea graduated from Parkland College in 2004 with an Associates in Applied Science. She has been working for Animal Medical Clinic since October of 2007. In her spare time she enjoys fishing, camping and rollerblading. Andrea has a dog and 3 cats.
Barb - Veterinary Assistant
Barb has worked in the animal field since 2004. She joined the Animal Medical Clinics in 2008, and now works both as a vet assistant and receptionist at the Animal Medical Clinic and the CherryVale Animal Clinic. She adopted her puggle, "Maddie", in August 2010. She is also now a proud mother to her daughter born July 28, 2011.
Arielle - Veterinary Assistant
Arielle started working with animals in 2002, and has been with the Animal Medical Clinic since 2007. She has a cat named "Roxie" and the legendary Cairn Terrier, "Good Sir Duncan".
Julie - Behavior Wellness Director
Julie joined the staff in 2009 having 16 years of prior experience in the animal welfare industry. She is a Rockford native and shares her home with 3 rescue dogs--Lucy, a "wild haired" Beagle; Maddie, a black Goldendoodle; and Lady, an American Staffordshire Terrier.
Jaimi - Receptionist, Care Staff
Jaimi has been with the Care Staff for three years, and recently joined the front desk as a Receptionist. She is currently studying in the veterinary technician program through Penn Foster University. She enjoys assisting with puppy classes at Waggin' Tails. Jaimi has a one-eyed cat named "Annie" and a rescued lab mix named "Friday". She is hoping to expand "Friday's" extensive collar collection, and is an avid "Hello Kitty" collector. Jaimi also enjoys riding her two quarter horses, "Oden" & "River".Shannah - Receptionist, Care Staff
Shannah is a graduate of East High School and has her Associate degree from Rock Valley College. She is currently pursuing her Bachelors degree in Business Management from Penn Foster University. Shannah joined our Care Staff in February of 2009. She is a first time dog owner to her one year old Treeing Cur, "Tank", and loves every minute of it.
Danielle - Care Staff
Danielle graduated from Rockford Christian High School in 2006. She joined the Care Staff in January 2010. She grew up on a farm and has spent time with all types of animals. Danielle was a member of 4-H for 10 years and showed pigs at the state and county fairs. She is a first time dog owner of an English Bulldog named "Tenley".
Sasha - Care Staff
Sasha has been with Animal Medical Clinic since August 2010. Working with animals is something that she has always wanted to do and she really enjoys her job. Sasha is the "mom" of a puggle rescue named "Roxas" and a dwarf rabbit named "Violet". She will be receiving her Associate Degree from Rock Valley College in the next few months and will begin at Rockford College.
Ashley - Care Staff
Ashley has been on the Care Staff since July 2011. She has a BA in English Writing with a concentration in poetry. She has published numerous news articles, poems, & non-fiction pieces. She does free lance writing in her spare time. She enjoys yoga, mountain biking, reading and kayaking. She is an avid volunteer with PAWS Humane Society in the cat program with her husband, Chris. She and her husband enjoy rescuing hospice and special needs kitties and find it to be the most rewarding experience. They have five cats and two dogs.
